Cotrans Slovakia, s.r.o. was founded in 2005 and until 2012 we managed to get 3 contract prolongations with Volkswagen Bratislava, a.s. The main mission here was to plan, register and navigate the trucks with materials to specific unloading points regarding the unloading capacities and urgency of the materials.
In 2014 we developed our own software iRecall as a complex mobile solution for truck navigation starting with planned time slots and finishing with the trucks departure and leaving the plant.
Following the success of iRecall, in 2015 - thanks to new technologies and tablets with photo function - we developed another application called iCheck intended as a quality check of the truck equipment followed by loading. The fully automated process of importing the shipment data followed by assigning the photos to the shipments online including elegantly designed statistics has led to a huge internal optimisation in Continental plants. It was noticed and highly appreciated also by the colleagues from Continental Sumter (SC, USA), so we adjusted the iCheck application to their specific needs and in 2017 they started using it (see the photograph on our homepage). Later on - with the separate mobile phone application LabelCheck - also the labelling quality of the tires was covered.
Followed by the success of the applications iRecall + iCheck and the need to have online checklists also for inbound logistics raw materials, we developed iReCheck. It is capable to navigate the trucks with materials via tablets and make a checklist with online photo documentation of the received materials, where quality or quantity discrepancies including the drivers’ signature are being forwarded to the complaints department. Later on, the application was enhanced with additional features like shipments schedule for each unloading point, capacity calendar for raw material purchasers and additional checklist for tank and silo trucks.
