iCheck
In 2012 - a pilot project called "Visual Check" has started and after a major update (hardware + software) it became "iCheck" since July 2014
It became popular across other Continental plants and custom version has been programmed and adapted in Continental Sumter, South Carolina, USA in March 2017.
It is a customisable checklist directly on the spot in the field using a tablet with the advantage of the photo function + upload to Continental server in real time.
The quality inspector checks the pre-filled checklist directly on the spot on the tablet and the data is being sent directly to the transport management, who get an elegant online overview about the already checked trucks and has instant access to all records and photo documentation to all shipments.
Before - there were paper checklists filled out manually, making and editing photos was done separately (manual file pairing!) with inevitable repeated returning from the "field" into the office, not to mention the time-consuming search and impossible filtering of the shipments / events / photos.
Now it integrates ALL activities into ONE mobile device with elegant import of the data and photos automatically assigned and stored to the shipments. Online there are interactive statistics with powerful filtering possibilities and automatic customisable notification system with the following main goals:
